Agios Nikolaos Cave

After the northwestern village of Krini, stands like a lonesome eagle, a monument which is one among the most important castles in Greece and of Adriatic sea: Angelokastro. It's not so famous like the two castles of Corfu Town but its military importance in defending the southern end of the Adriatic sea was fundamental. It is one of the three castles that still survive in our island.

In our museum we exhibit many books and notes from the years of 1910 and on. You may also see the traditional clothes that women use to wear. We keep a small variety of honey, local wine and oregano for sale. So you can take home a small gift for you or for the people you love.

Kolovri Island

The Theotokos Monastery was founded in the 13th century, but there is little to been seen today which is more than 200 years old. Inside however, the modern building is an excellent example of Greek monastic architecture.There is an arched inner courtyard, and a small museum with Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons.The view from the Monastery is superb, with in the foreground the boat of Odysseus (Kolovri).
